MEET THE 2023 INTERNS

Howdy y’all 🤠 We are the 2023 Unrestricted Interns! 

After traveling from Miami (FL), Corvallis (OR), Moscow (ID), …and California, we have united in downtown Boise with a mission – to go against expectations. Our team consists of five individuals with unique skill sets in design, marketing, and kickball. We share a passion and goal to create impactful media that challenges constructs and brings positive change to the world. For us, this looks like creating content that is relevant, stirring, and brave. From the first meeting, we were all instantly ready to take on the challenges presented to us.

We are cultivating our practice of pushing boundaries, challenging perceptions, and producing influential media that makes a difference. As we start our journey, we hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about us!

DAWSON.

1. How many pigeons do you think you could hold at once?
   At least 6, I would put their feet between my fingers and hold them: wolverine pigeon claws.

2. What vegetable gives you the most anxiety?
   Artichoke, looks like a dinosaur egg.

3. What is the largest animal you think you could take in a fight?
   Big ol’ bob cat.

4. If you were tasked with creating a mascot for the agency, what would it be?
   If we had a mascot it would be a raccoon. Little creative guy with little grabby hands.

5. What’s your catchphrase?
   “Bark bark ima shark”

EMILY.

1. Which household appliance do you find the most intimidating when it unexpectedly beeps or makes a loud noise?
   The toaster. Somehow it always sneaks up on me.

2. What is the largest animal you think you could take in a fight?
   A New York sized rat, and even then I worry about my chances because they are determined.

3. If you were a meme, which one would you be and why?
   The chihuahua squinting meme. I picked up the unfortunate and unconscious habit of making this face whenever anyone in my family says something unintelligent or rude and it has stuck.

4. What’s your theme song?
   Good Luck, Kid by JOSEPH

5. What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
   Right now, I would have to say that Indian food is my favorite. I will never grow tired of chicken tikka masala with rice and naan.

VERONICA.

1. How many pigeons do you think you could hold at once?
   Two. If you (carefully!) tuck a pigeon’s head under its wing and pull its feet back gently, it will fall asleep. I’d carry a bird in each hand.

2. To kill an elephant, how many chickens would be required?
   I have a giant slash scar on my arm from one of my chickens, so if they’re as feisty as mine, it wouldn’t take very many at all.

3. If you were a meme, which one would you be and why?
   The original “graphic design is my passion” meme – it reminds me of my childhood discovery of clipart in Microsoft Word.

4. If you were tasked with creating a mascot for the agency, what would it be?
   A leucistic raven! Ravens are incredibly clever, and since they’re known for their blackness, a white raven would certainly go against expectations.

5. What’s your catchphrase?
   Either “snazzy” or “whatever boats your float”

CARTER.

1. To kill an elephant, how many chickens would be required?
   Why are we pitting these helpless animals against each other? When will this violence come to an end? Probably 2,000.

2. Which household appliance do you find the most intimidating when it unexpectedly beeps or makes a loud noise?
   My roommate Joe.

3. What is the largest animal you think you could take in a fight?
   A monkey – but I think it would be more of a Rocky 1 situation instead of Rocky 2.

4. What’s your theme song?
   Depending on the day: Cherry-Coloured Funk by Cocteau Twins or Hate it or Love it by The Game and 50 Cent.

5. What’s your catchphrase?
   Jawn. “Let’s get out of this jawn.” “Get a load of that jawn.” “How bout them jawns?”

ALLEN.

1. How many pigeons do you think you could hold at once?
   I would be able to hold at least 4 with their heads in between each finger so they couldn't turn around and peck my hand off because what kinda pigeon likes to be picked up. (except carrier pigeons….)

2. What vegetable gives you the most anxiety?
   Has to be red cabbage. Why is is red? Is it angry at the other cabbage in the patch?

3. What is the largest animal you think you could take in a fight?
   Would have to be a baby giraffe, I have the height to square up and take 'em down.

4. What’s your theme song?
   Theme song has to be Drip to Hard Cinematic Remix by Shilo, I feel as if I am in a movie trailer.

5. What’s your catchphrase?
   “Baller Baller”
