Jennie doesn’t just challenge the status quo, she sets it on fire and rebuilds from the embers. She’s a relentless experimenter, a what-if wielder, and a left-brain/right-brain mixologist who thrives on solving tough problems in unexpected ways.
With a BFA, an MBA, and over 20 years of experience, she lives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and impact. As owner of Against, she built more than a company—she created a space where oddball talents drive purposeful work that yields both profit and progress for companies who care about improving their impact on humanity and the planet.
She believes business success and social responsibility aren’t at odds. Obsessively challenging assumptions, she stirs action and sparks meaningful change. Beyond business, Jennie co-founded the Against Academy and partnered with Boise State’s School for the Digital Future, impacting over 1,000 students annually and helping launch the Bachelor of Digital Innovation and Design degree.
As an Associate Clinical Professor, she pushes others to surpass their limits through curiosity, discomfort, and unexpected thinking. Known for thriving in chaos, she spots opportunities others miss, turning them into big wins.
Jennie’s energy comes from adventure—she collects adventures like kids collect special rocks. She has branded cattle in Wyoming, lobbied for human rights in Washington, trekked across China, competed in fitness competitions, and jumped out of perfectly good airplanes.
