Courses & Certifications
The College of Innovation + Design at Boise State partnered with us to raise the bar for creative education. Their goal: help students build the real-world skills that matter most. Together, we developed a four-course certificate program focused on the power skills shaping tomorrow’s workforce—creativity, collaboration, and adaptability.
It wasn’t just about the classroom. It was about rethinking what education looks like in the face of a rapidly changing world.
The Opportunity
Rethinking the role of higher ed.
Employers are shifting their focus. According to McKinsey Global Institute, demand for skills like creativity, critical thinking, and complex decision-making will continue to grow at double-digit rates through 2030. Traditional degrees alone aren’t cutting it anymore.
The College of Innovation + Design saw the writing on the wall. They knew students needed more than theory—they needed creative tools and confidence to lead in an unpredictable future.
They needed a program that taught students how to think, not just what to know.
With the future of work in mind, we built a program that’s anything but academic.
The Solution
A certificate for the future of work.
We partnered with the College of Innovation + Design to create the Certificate in Innovation and Design: Emerging Applications (ID:EA)—a four-course program designed to meet the growing demand for creative problem-solving, emerging tech fluency, and collaborative communication.
Our work started at the foundation, helping define the purpose and positioning of the certificate to ensure it aligned with both student needs and workforce demands. From there, we developed a bold brand identity that stood out in a crowded higher ed landscape—visually distinct, verbally confident, and built to resonate with students and employers alike.
To support long-term success, we shaped the internal workflows and structure of the program, making sure it could scale without losing impact. We also collaborated on course design, guiding content development to ensure every class delivered practical, future-facing value.
This wasn’t just a curriculum—it was a complete system built to give students an edge and position the College of Innovation + Design as a leader in modern education.
